E-Liquids

What is E-liquid?
Vaping involves heating a liquid to the point it becomes a vapour, which can then be inhaled.
The liquid in vape devices and ecigarettes is known as eliquid, or sometimes by other names such as ejuice, e cig uk fluid or vape juice. Whatever the name, eliquid functions in the same way – the liquid is heated and you inhale the resulting vapour.
Smoke and vapour are different. Smoke is a by-product of burning. Vapour is a by-product of heating, in the same way a kettle heats water to produce steam. Eliquid is drawn through the coil while current from the battery is also passed through the coil, and the eliquid is heated to produce vapour.
What is inside the E-liquid?
If you’re just starting out vaping may seem complicated and mysterious, but the composition of eliquid is deceptively simple.
There’s just four ingredients –
• Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
• Propylene Glycol (PG)
• Flavourings
• Nicotine (if required)
Vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol are simply additives from the food industry used, for example, to sweeten or preserve food. Flavourings are blended to create our differing range of flavours. And nicotine needs no introduction, other than to say it is the only toxic part of eliquid.
When you see an eliquid listed as 70% VG, this means that 70% of the blend is VG, while the remaining 30% is PG, flavourings and nicotine (for those blends that contain nicotine). Flavourings make up around 10% of the eliquid.
